I just wonder why such effort is made to fix something that is not broken. There seems to be such a movement in our society to move away from anything traditional even if it works...and works well. I think talent could be better used to create solutions to real problems. I am not a math educator....yet....but I agree with the comments of the narrator of this video. This also goes along with what Ms. Spicer sees in her classroom today and wrote about on her blog of 23 Things.
